Book Club

St. Mary’s book club meets on the 3rd Tuesday of every month in the atrium or a member’s home to discuss books read in the previous month. Books are chosen by the members for the year and are varied and interesting.  All are welcome. Please come share a book with others and enjoy the discussion. Contact Charlotte Getter if you have questions – 608/637-7177.

“Human life is sacred because from its beginning it involves the creative action of God and it remains forever in a special relationship with the Creator, who is its sole end. God alone is the Lord of Life from its beginning until its end: no one can under any circumstance claim for himself the right directly to destroy an innocent human being.” (Catechism of the Catholic Church 2258)

The Annunciation of the Blessed Virgin Mary parish has an active pro-life group and is part of the Social Justice Committee. Activities for all parishioners include joining with the Diocese on the Pilgrimage for Life in Washington, D.C. every January, Rosary rallies in May and October, and Holy Hour for Life in January.
